Starigrad
Basic information: Place and harbor on the coast of Velebit Channel, 45 km south of Karlobag in the vicinity of Paklenica National Park. The history of the place goes back to Roman times. The economy includes agriculture, stockbreeding, fishing and tourism. Starigrad is the center of the Paklenica Riviera, known for its 20 km long shoreline between the mountain and the sea. The place is often visited by both bathers and mountain climbers. The place has long pebble beaches. It is an attractive destination for active family holidays. The sports and recreational offer includes tennis courts, beach volleyball, mini-golf and water sports equipment rental. The gastronomic offer is primarily based on local specialties including fish, lamb, smoked ham (prsut) and cheese. The tourist offer includes many cultural and entertainment events.
Additional facilities:
Smaller yachts can dock in the northern side of the harbor that is partly protected from the Bura and Jugo winds. The depth of the sea is from 2 to 5 meters.

Visits to the Cape of Kula where you can find ruins of Vecka tower and Pre-Romanesque sv. Pavao church. Excursions to the bay of Rovanjska in the vicinity where you will find sv. Juraj basilica
