Murter,Murter is a place on the northern part of the island of the same name that belongs to the Sibenik Archipelago. The island is connected to the mainland by bridge in Tisno. Murter is located between two bays; the bay of Hramina where there is a marina and the bay of Slanica where there is a swimming beach. Murter is also known as a starting point for trips to Kornati National Park. Thanks to quiet, pebble beaches in the place itself and nearby, surrounded by pine woods, Murter is ideal for a family holiday. Apart from this, we also recommend Murter to active holiday lovers due to tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts and water sports equipment rental. Numerous restaurants serve Dalmatian specialties and several festivities take place in August.
The larger part of the island is covered with old olive and fig trees which are the main traditional cultures of the domestic population. The island Murter is also known as the « Gate of Kornati » cause of the closeness of the National park which makes this place even more attractive. Second National park "Krka" is also nearby. Betina, Betina is a tourist complex and harbor on the north-eastern coast of the Northern Dalmatian island of Murter, the largest island of the Sibenik archipelago. Murter is connected to the mainland by bridge at Tisno. Betina is 31 km from Sibenik and 6 km from Tisno. The marina in Zdrace bay has 200 berths and 80 boat storage places. Betina was first mentioned in the 16th century and its inhabitants are traditionally wine growers, olive growers and fishermen. Betina is perfect for a quiet holiday, while boating enthusiasts can rent or use their own boats to explore the numerous picturesque bays of Murter and the islets nearby. Betina is known for its seafood restaurants and as the starting point for visiting Kornati Jezera, a harbor in Jezera bay, lies on the north-eastern shores of the island of Murter which is connected to the mainland by bridge at Tisno. The inhabitants of Jezera have been fishermen, olive growers and wine growers for centuries. Due to natural beauties of the bay, Jezera has developed into a charming tourist destination, where you can find accommodation in private houses or at Lovisce campsite. Thanks to its favorable geographic position, a nautical center and marina with 220 berths have been built in Jezera- a great starting point for exploring Kornati National Park. Tisno, Murter is the largest island within Sibenik's archipelago and is the administrative center of Kornati National Park, with which it creates a unique whole.
