Korcula Come to know Korčula - the historical and tourist centre of the island of the same name in the South Dalmatian Archipelago. Known as the birth-place of Marko Polo, this town has been justly called "a little Dubrovnik" due to its picturesque squares and medieval atmosphere. While the works of skilful Korčula stone-masons cause wonder by its perseverance, Moreška brings liveliness to the streets of Korčula, as one of the three chivalrous dances you can see only on this exceedingly beautiful island! Beautiful island of Korčula was allegedly named after the heroine of Greek mythology Kerkyra, who came to live on the island on decision of sea god Poseidon. Korčula was also the home of Marco Polo, famous world explorer. Take a walk around Korčula and see the historic heritage in famous knight game called Moreška where the knights in red and black costumes fight over the affection of a lady. You will find yourself in another time altogether. Visit the town of Vela Luka, situated in a deep bay, have a drink of Pošip, Plavac or Admiral wines.

Lumbarda, a village and harbor in the easternmost part of the island of Korcula, between the coves of Przina and Bili Zal, 6 km southeast of the town of Korcula. Summer homes and country houses make Lumbarda a sort of museum of building and architecture of various styles, while the archaeological finds speak about the distant past of this attractive holiday resort. The sandy soil is the home of the famous wine Grk, which, together with other wines on the island: Pošip, Maraština, and Plavac make Korčula famous..

Vela Luka,Vela Luka on the island of Korčula is situated in the Bay of Vela Luka, an ideal place for water sports; a lot of sunshine and a clear sea washing its beaches will provide a real recreation. The nearby medicinal springs will ease health troubles and have a therapeutic effect on many ailments. The major part of the town spreads over the slopes of Spilinski Rat (150 m) and the mildly descending plateau between the Rat and the Humic elevation (183 m). The surrounding hills protect it from the northerly and southerly winds; the landward breeze often blows in the summer.

Vela Luka offers its visitors all other advantages of modern tourism, from quality accommodation, over the variety of restaurants offering seafood and quality wines, to sports and recreational facilities (tennis, yachting, surfing, etc.) and entertainment.
Many find the Croatian folk songs sung by fishermen of Vela Luka in the evening hours the most impressive attraction. The St. Joseph's Day (19th of March) is a traditional feast, accompanied by religious and cultural events and programs.

Blato, a town in the interior of the island of Korcula (4-odd km from the coast), 7 km southeast of Vela Luka. It lies on the eastern edge of the Blato field. Economy is based on farming (Mediterranean crops). The chief arable land is the Blato field, which has been dried (water has been taken into the Bristva Cove by a tunnel). Most of it is under vineyards. Blato is the oldest settlement on the island of Korčula, situated in the midst of the western part of the island. The settlement got its name after a karst field known as the Blato Field (Blatsko polje). Until 1911 the Blato Field was periodically flooded thus forming a lake, which was prevented with the excavation of a tunnel and melioration channels allowing the water to drain into the sea on the northern coast of the island. A natural water source on an island is a rare blessing. Even today more than half of the island relies on the Blato water source for their water supply. A replica of the old well was built at the old water source site. The settlement is situated along the slopes of three small hills in the form of an amphitheater.
