DUBROVNIK PALACE HOTEL WINS TWO PRESTIGOUS WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS

At the gala awards ceremony of the 'Tourism Oscars' – the prestigious World Travel Awards, held on Sunday 13 November, the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel was awarded in two categories: Croatia’s Leading Hotel and Croatia’s Leading SPA Resort.
The World Travel Awards gala ceremony was held in the Royal Opera House in London on 13 November 2005 and was broadcast live on BBC.
At the gala awards ceremony, attended by a great number of worldwide tourism professionals and members of the media, the awards for Croatia’s Leading Hotel and Croatia’s Leading SPA Resort were handed to chairman of GS Hotels & Resorts Goran Strok and director of the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel Gianni Malerba.

Adriatic Luxury Hotels representatives attended the glamorous awards ceremony together with their special guests: Lord Taylor of Blackburn, honorary president of GS Hotels & Resorts; Josko Paro, Croatian Ambassador to Great Britain; William Montgomery, former US Ambassador to Croatia and ALH Supervisory Board member; Niko Bulic, Croatian National Tourist Board director; and representatives from Hypo bank, Günther Striedinger and Daniel Lobnik.

"We are extremely proud to have received such a valuable acknowledgment from the most significant worldwide tourism institutions that have recognized our quality. The fact that the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel has been operating just over a year makes these awards even more significant and valuable to us", said GS Hotels & Resorts chairman Goran Strok.
The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements to be found in all sectors of the global travel industry. A decade on, dedicated travel professionals and their clients have come to regard the World Travel Awards as the best endorsement that any travel product could receive.
The worldwide voting campaign was opened on 1 June to over 150,000 travel agents, tour operators and travel buyers who decided on the winners of each category.
