Slano, place and harbor in the bay of the same name, 37,5 km northwest of Dubrovnik. It stretches for 2 km along the shoreline of a splendid bay. The harbor is well protected so that yachts can moor in the Bay of Banja, whereas larger yachts in front of the bay. The place has pebble beaches, lavish Mediterranean vegetation and mild climate. The economy includes agriculture, wine, fruit, olive and tobacco growing, picking of medicinal herbs, fishing and tourism. Ruins of Illyrian settlements, as well as Baroque and Renaissance buildings are part of the cultural and historic heritage. We recommend: Sightseeing of the family Ohmucevic summer residence, Franciscan church built in the 16th century, parish church sv. Vlaho from 1407, as well as the church Navjestenja i sv. Petra from the 13th century. Visits to the old part of Dubrovnik, Ston, Arboretum (botanical garden) in Trsteno, islands belonging to the Elafiti group of islands, island of Korcula, as well as Peljesac Peninsula.
