NOVI VINODOLSKI

Tourist destination and harbor in the Kvarner area, at the mouth of Suha Ricina River in the Vinodolski Channel, 9 km south of Crikvenica. The town can boast of having excellent beaches with facilities, clean sea, lavish vegetation and a rich cultural and historic heritage. The most famous sandy beach, surrounded by a dense pine forest, is Lisanj. The town has stone streets, coastal promenade and villas. It has a long tourist tradition; the first bathing area was built in 1878. Accommodation is available in hotels, tourist complex, camping sites and private apartments. Guests have at their disposal numerous sports and recreational facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools. The gastronomic offer includes local and Mediterranean specialties. The economy is based on agriculture, wine growing, fishing and tourism. Many cultural and entertainment events take place in the town.
The cultural and entertainment events include the winter carnival in January and February, the celebration of sv. Filip i Jakov, patron saint of the town, held in May, as well as the summer carnival in August. Yachts can be docked on the inner side of the breakwater, the depth being 2,7 m.
We recommend: Visits to the National Library, National Museum and Gallery, as well as to the old Frankopan fortalice with 4000 exhibits.
